An original painting by renowned Danish artist and illustrator Rosemarie Brøgger, presented by Beauton Art Gallery.
A soft, floating circle meets a warm horizon of orange and yellow. The delicate pink light within the circle creates a poetic contrast against the intense background, giving the work an almost dreamlike quality.

Copenhagen based artist Rose Marie Brøgger is a graduate from the Graphic Arts College in Denmark. She works in acrylic paintings on canvas and in digital art printmaking.
Brøgger’s work has themes of transcendence, spirituality, existence, materiality and phenomena. She explores earthly objects and surreal supernatural objects in a simplistic dreamlike yet powerful imagery.
The motives often have the character of being material or composed of matter.
She presents a complex understanding and respect for the elements surrounding us. She has a way of portraying an object that makes it absurd in spite of its actual existence.
The use of dimensions, symmetry and the space within, between, and around objects recurs in her imagery.
Her pieces have a sense of relevance or significance to the now, and she often uses iconography as an examination of our current state of mind. The pieces are in themselves a study of the communication between the artwork and the viewer of a given society, dependent on cultural context.
