Turkish Act I
"Act of pattern" is a series which focuses on the female body delicate and soft forms. Where parts of women’s figures are covered in patterned materials and placed in colorful backgrounds. Nameless bodies make the scene more mysterious. The paintings seem almost abstract- eyes get lost in the multitude of lines, colors and shapes.
The ornaments used are mainly from Middle East. Fascinated by their colors, harmony and rhythm. The aim is to combine two different cultures: European (female nude) and Eastern ornaments. “Act of pattern” is a reflection of experiences- travels and traditions.
Printed with high-grade pigmented "archival ink" on FABRIANO Aquarelle art paper, 300 gsm, 100% cotton.
