Filippo Brunelleschi was the founding father of Italian Renaissance. His legacy is monumental. He was the first modern engineer and a problem-solver with unorthodox methods. He formulated the principles of linear perspective which governed the depiction of space until the late XIX century. He „invented” perspective in 1434. Brunelleschi produced an exact isometric simulation of the octagonal building. He had reproduced a three-dimensional object in two dimensions, for the first time in recorded history.
